Traveling to Seville Towns

Seville is a city with wonderful cultural heritage and plenty of beautiful towns. Here is a guide to some important towns and sites in Seville.

Santiponce:

Italica is place which has preserved the remains of Roman era as this town had its importance in the Roman time period. Italica is located currently in the town of Santiponce which is situated at a drive of ten minutes from Seville. This place was established by General Scipio and this city has its importance for two big names; Hadrian and Troian which were the famous Roman Emperors.

There are many worth visiting places in this town including the modern park which has amphitheater in the surrounding, area constructed by Hadrian and the famous theater which is located in the Old centre of the town.   

Archaeological Museum:

There is a famous Archaeology Museum in Seville which contains a great variety of sculptures and few mosaics belonging to Italica.

National Motorway IV:

This national highway has its route from Cordoba towards Campina and this area is all heavily fertile with plenty of monuments and a big number of population live here. This area also has a great variety of historical monuments which are worth watching.

Carmona:

Carmona is a beautiful city which is located at a distance of thirty kilometers from capital and it is located in the Centre of Seville. This city was founded by Phoenicians and in the later years this city was ruled by Romans and you will find plenty of history belonging to Roman era in Carmona. There are many historical sites in the city like Alcazar, Roman Amphitheatre, Almohade of King Don Pedro and famous towers. The city has number of narrow roads with monuments all around. This city is famous for its vibrant night life.

Ecija:

Ecija is a beautiful city which is located at a distance of 88 kilometers from capital and this is also known as “The City of Sun & Towers”. This city was also ruled by Phoenician first and then Romans ruled this city  location espagne. The city was given the name of “The city of Tower” between the 17th Century and 18th century because of the glory which this city attained because of the construction of number of towers. Currently there are eleven towers in this city and fifteen temples and palaces as well.

Estepa:

This pleasant city is located at a distance of 110 km from capital and you will find number of towers in this city which overlooks the countryside. The city is known for many religious buildings.
